What's new?

Since the beginning of last November I have kept a small sketch book with me at all times, reminiscent of when I did a thirty minute sketch a day while in school. What I am doing now is what I call "scribbles." I spend between thirty seconds and thirty minutes just moving the pencil or pen over the paper, quickly, and without thinking about what I am doing. Making them has helped keep my work loose, uncomplicated, abstract or semi-identifiable; all of which I love. I will see if I can take photos of some of them to show you here. I really love doing them. Stand by....

A Good Day to just be......here.

I have been painting with soft pastels most of the time these past four years. I did this pastel painting on location at Prout's Neck, Maine. I love to work outdoors, "en plein aire."
