4-08-07 The Blues

Now that I have been doing scribbles for awhile I have become able, once again, to work on painting. See whatever you choose to in the painting.....hopefully it will have to do with flowers. There are fanciful additions and subtractions from a few irises I was contemplating. This is my third oil pastel painting. I haven't taken a photo of my second but will do so soon and post here. That one I will probably have framed. So.....keep interested!

3-24-07 Essence of Softness

This is a dainty and soft grouping of flowers. I got carried away here and was working with such a light touch it is difficult to see the drawing. It is one of my favorites though....lots of movement and interesting negative space.

3-17-07 Odd Bedfellows

Another scribble from my goody bag. It seems like a place deep in an unkempt garden where live things mix, live, and grow together.

3-20-07 Flowers Resting

I guess the flowers settled down for a brief rest. I think I did this scribble without looking at the paper while using my pen. I like to use a pen because then I am not tempted to erase anything and/or make changes to the original mark made on paper. Just let it be.

3-20-07 Playing Outdoors

I must be in a fanciful mood these days. The flowers are mostly whimsical and just plain fun. I hope I have more of these in my goody bag.

Floating Away

Decided to use a darker background since I don't want to get into details of the flowers. These guys are about to float away from reach or sight so you had better have a glance at them now.

3-3-07 Fanciful Flowers

This is a little more of a drawing than I had planned. I just got lost and emersed myself in this vision. I really enjoyed this particular day. I love looking at flowers in real time and also in the digital photos I shoot. I do alot of photography in warmer months and enjoy the colors of the four seasons. Right now the bright reds of winter have faded while the greens of the pine trees are deepening just a little. I am awaiting the yellow greens of spring to come. That will be awhile from now.
